When I sent these two their gallery, I ended up calling it ‘Gale Force Winds’.
For a very good reason.
It was mid January and Cape Town’s notorious wind, The South-Easter, was roaring over Chapman’s Peak that strong, we had to hold on to the rocks not to blow away. Not the safest shoot ever, but hey. Everything for adventure and the love of an epic image, right? So that’s what we did. We captured their love. The raw, the pure, the times when storms nearly swoosh you off the mountain. The times when the wind blows all the hair in your face – you can’t even see where you’re going anymore.
We laughed, climbed a bit, laughed more and then before we knew it, we had to go home again.
It was one of those endless afternoons that, sadly, actually do end. This one did too. But we gained new friends and created great memories.
