“But we aren't photogenic at all- now what!?”

I document an experience - not a catwalk show. I’m never going to ask you to ‘look into the camera and smile’. I’m not going to pose you like a helpless, awkward puppet. I won’t put you in front of me, point my camera at you and leave you in the dark either though. Instead, I’ll give you some pointers / things to do and what happens next - that’s up to you. I’ll capture it as it all happens in front of me. 

I will make sure the light conditions and angles are chosen carefully and I’ll give you ideas and tips and tricks. The rest - that’s you guys. These images are about how you felt in that moment. That’s the magic you see in my work. You as individuals and you as a couple, your personalities, need to reflect in the images. And they will. You will. So just be who you are. Nothing more, nothing less. You can leave the rest up to me.

Creating something worth keeping forever, always works best done together. 

No but really! Every couple I have ever worked with, has said these words to me. And this has always been my reply. Because I get it. Truly, I get you. And that’s why I can honestly say that you can stop worrying. All you need to do, is to show up as you are.
