I document people’s experience of wild, intimate love. Or better yet, I help them create their true elopement adventure. Your wedding experience matters to me. I deeply care about your dreams so I’ve made it my mission to help you translate those into an elopement that is most true to who you are. Wherever in the world that may be.
From the vastness of Africa to ancient little towns in Mexico or somewhere on a deserted Icelandic beach. We will figure it out together and have the best time while doing so. My friends joke when they describe my so called ‘job title’ by saying that I am not only an elopement photographer, but also a glorified travel agent, wedding planner and professional third wheel that means business but doesn’t take herself too seriously either. I like to keep this whole concept simple by just calling it ‘Lotty’. You don't have to stress about figuring out all the elopement schematics yourself - I'm here to help you!
I am passionate about nature and have a heart that beats the loudest for conservation. Sharing these wild spaces with my couples, is where it all comes together for me. I’ll show you my favourite places in the entire world, but I’m even more curious about yours.

Meet Lotty
I want you to feel the wind on your faces again, even to remember what the ocean mist or red dirt road smelt like that day. Landscapes, therefore, take up a very important part of my work. When you see the photos, I want you to remember absolutely everything.
What I want for you, is to be able to relive the entire experience when you see the images later on

My approach to 'wedding photography' is perhaps a little less ‘traditional’ compared to what a lot of other photographers consider to be ‘the norm’. I used to be a documentary journalist and photographer, for magazines in The Netherlands where I’m originally from. That’s how I ended up in Africa. My eyes and brain, still work in the same way as they always have: I tell stories. I capture real moments and emotions. Real people. The big-big things, but also the little-big things that you might have missed, but I didn’t.
