Adventurous road trip in Cappadocia, Turkey

Imagine
If you had three wishes,
three hopes,
three dreams
and they all
could come true…
Genie, Aladin

One of my most memorable adventures to date.
These two and their Cappadocia adventure.
When Michelle and Rustin contacted me about photographing their elopement,
it instantly became clear that they valued a documentary like I do.
Capturing the experience. The surreal landscapes, the smells, dust, and of course – their love.
So, instead of just having me for the day of their elopement, I flew into Kayseri Airport a few days early.
We road tripped Cappadocia flat together in search of the best spots and most epic views.
We tried the local cuisine – tucked away in a cave-restaurant, went on the hunt for an original kilim-carpet, drank fresh pomegranate-juice on the edge of the Red Valley and visited an underground city.
By the time their elopement-day arrived, we were best buds
they didn’t even realise anymore that I had a camera in my hand for most of it…
Needless to say that when we eventually had to say goodbye after four days together – we did so full of love, friendship, appreciation and enriched with so many experiences.
I can still burst thinking about it all.
Here’s some of the highlights that enfolded in this insane landscape.
